Happy Halloween! I hope you had a wonderful day of celebration, fun, candy, and costumes! Until next time, stay safe, and keep the faith!
In yesterday’s article, I shared I found a PowerPoint I used several years ago for a workshop I did. When a friend asked why I did not do the workshop again, I gave her several excuses. She immediately asked why I was using excuses not to do the workshop. I had to admit to myself I was afraid I would fail.
Below are some things we all could do to help when we have those fears.
Cultivate A Positive Attitude
Regardless of what life throws your way, always be your own best friend and develop healthy and positive self-talk.
Even in desperate moments, you have choices. To believe in yourself and think that anything is possible is always a great place to start.
The creation begins in our minds. The more we reinforce an idea inside in it, the easier it is to materialize. Visuals are even more powerful to the subconscious mind, which governs the psyche.
Conditioning our subconscious minds through visualizing and daily affirmation will enable us to believe that the things we’re working for are on their way. Living life “as if” you are already living your dreams will get you closer to the reality you are creating.
Do not miss this significant step. You may do everything else right, but you won’t be seeing a lot of results unless you take concrete action. Belief gets half the work done, and half of it is up to you moving a step closer by taking action.
“You can be anything you want to be if you only believe with sufficient conviction and act in accordance with your faith; for whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve.”
– Napoleon Hill
Sometimes, it is a fear of failure that keeps you from moving on and pursuing your dreams. Anxiety can be debilitating as it can render you motionless and without apparent purpose at all.
If you do not achieve what you intended to accomplish the first time, it may frustrate you. Do not let failure and frustration stop you from seeing the road signs on the way to achieving your goals.
You cannot avoid making mistakes, but you can learn something from them. Use your mistakes as feedback and make yourself more potent and more determined than ever.
No one has become successful overnight. It means even the most successful people have made mistakes. However, those mistakes did not stop them from moving on. It is only a matter of perspective. Let your mistakes become your stepping stones to success.
If you want to achieve something in life, then believe in yourself. Yes, you will make mistakes along the way, but do not let them define who you are.
Accomplish any step you need towards your goal each day. One day before you know it, you will have reached your destination. Yes, you can achieve anything you want to accomplish if you keep moving and don’t quit!
I thought this article essential to write to you and me. I have shared my sudden fear; what sometimes stops you from moving to your goal? Leave a comment. We can help each other grow stronger. Until tomorrow, stay safe, and keep the faith.
A situation happened today, which caused me to realize, I have not entirely let go of some limiting beliefs. I am sharing this with you if you have or maybe even now are experiencing the same thing. A friend asked why I had not promoted a program I have worked on in the past.
I explained I needed to update the material, which is true, but then I came up with several other reasons. Amid my tirade, my friend stopped me and asked why I was looking for reasons not to do the program?
I hated to admit to her or myself that I was afraid. I thought I had chased fear away, but it seems fear has been lingering around, looking for a crack in the door to slip back in.
What would you do if you knew you could not fail?
Some of us know what it is that we want from life. Yet many of us do not do anything about it. We do nothing because of sheer doubt and fear that we will fail along the way. So we settle for something more lukewarm, safe, and secure.
In the process, we make up several excuses for delaying or not taking action – from waiting for the right moment to justifying it as a safe choice for now, and waiting for things to fall into place and the resources available first before we act.
Sometimes, we may even have all the right resources we need to do something, but we still do not move closer towards our goals and take any action. Pursuing things that we want in life is partly about action and partly about belief in ourselves.
The most important question is not whether you can do it or not, because you will not know until you try. Anything worth pursuing and achieving in our lives should first have us ask ourselves – do I believe that I can? Believing in ourselves sounds basic, but you will find that not everyone lives at this level.
If you are like many people who need a little push to absolutely believe in yourself, know that you can get out of the shadow of doubt and start believing in yourself. Believe in your abilities, and gain the confidence you need to succeed at anything you deem worthy.
The truth is, it’s not about how big the dream or goal is. Success is more achievable when you know that you can be or do. It does not mean that you must be devoid of any anxiety or fear towards the challenge you are taking on.
But your belief in yourself will be able to see you through all of those natural emotions. The power lies inside your mind.
There are many reasons why you need to believe in yourself, but nothing else could be more sensible than the thought that others will find it hard to believe in you if you don’t. Beyond family and friends who love and believe in us by default, people who do not know us will largely depend on what they see from the outside.
If you radiate positivity and confidence, it will be easy for people to see that and trust what they see in you. But if you send out vibes of anxiety and worry, people will notice this as well and may begin to doubt if you are well and reliable.
From believing in ourselves, in our judgment and abilities, comes a whole slew of positive impact. Theodore Roosevelt once said, “Believe you can, and you are halfway there.”
Believing gets half of the work done; that is how powerful it is. It is the precursor of action. Getting to work and taking action becomes easy by believing in ourselves first of all.
You demonstrate this by the concept of self-efficacy – a person’s belief in their innate capacity for achievement. It is very influential to our psyche, as it can direct our attitude, thoughts, feelings, and behavior. Self-efficacy enables people to achieve things more easily.
Believing in ourselves is a powerful force of its own. From that, you gain self-confidence, which makes success seem relatively easy. All successful people have this one trait in common. It’s easy to see how confidence makes people more successful.
It inspires you to take action, and with joyous anticipation, you are likely to make your goals happen. With such an attitude every time, the sky is the limit, and winning feels very close.
We need to be our own most significant ally and to do that, we need to believe in ourselves. To do great things, building up belief in ourselves, developing self-efficacy, and building self-confidence will push us on the right path. There are helpful ways to believe in yourself more, and I will share that with you tomorrow. Until then, stay safe and keep the faith.

I originally posted this article on March 24, 2020
Alice was on her way home after an exhausting day of running errands with her children. To say she was hot and tired would be an understatement. It was a day filled with one chaos after another, and all she could think of was to grab food from the closet fast-food diner.
Suddenly traffic came to an unexpected stop. The sound of sirens screaming in the distance. Alice strained to see what caused the stoppage. There was a four-car accident. Any other time, she would have applauded any small delay that gave her more time to spend with her children. However, today, she was not her usual perky self.
After several minutes, her son said, “Mama, let’s play the gratitude game! We can count all the good things that happened today!”
The daughter quickly said, “Me first—I’m thankful we’re not the ones in that car accident!
Alice couldn’t help but smile at her daughter. Then she joined the children and continued creating a list of things they could all be grateful to have in their lives. Afterward, Alice and the kids worked through their gratitude list while waiting for the wreck to clear. Alice realized she was no longer in a bad-tempered mood. She felt lifted and peaceful.
I am sure that, like Alice, you have days when you have trouble expressing gratitude. However, gratefulness has a multitude of benefits you can plug.
Gratitude Relaxes You
It is difficult to be stressed and grateful at the same time. While you can’t always choose the events in your life, you can choose to use your positive vibes and practice gratitude. It doesn’t matter where you are or what is going on in your life.
Gratitude not only relaxes you mentally, but it is also suitable for you physically. If you choose to be grateful, you can vary the perception of pain, including chronic pain.
Gratitude Directs You
It is a great temptation to see all the things you think are missing in your life. You don’t have a car you feel is as enjoyable as your friend’s. Your job isn’t as glamourous as another’s. You don’t have the finances like your friends.
But here’s some excellent news, you embrace gratitude, and it directs you in the direction that is most important to you, your family, friends, and your community. The relationships in your life matter far more than the material things you think you want.
Gratitude Rejuvenates You
Gratitude keeps you from slipping into an ‘I am a victim’ mindset. It prevents you from convincing yourself with things like, “I’m just a loser. Nothing works out for me, no matter how hard I try to have a good life. It’s never been easy, so why should I even try to make things work out?”
But when you express thankfulness for what you have, the chart flips, and the script changes entirely. No longer are you a victim in your story. Instead, you are the hero. You are the one who beats all the odds and gets to build that beautiful life you’ve always desired, and because of your gratitude for the small things, you can fill it with blessings and abundance.
Gratitude offers you so many beautiful gifts when you are willing to change your perspective and look at what you have. You never know; you might uncover the real treasure when you look at life through the eyes of gratitude!
Gratitude can change your whole life! As always, until next time, stay safe, and keep the faith.
Each day is unique and provides unique opportunities. The key is to keep your eyes open for the vast possibilities each day presents.
You have all the opportunities you need to accomplish everything you desire.
Opportunities frequently come to you. It would help if you took notice of these opportunities. There are so many that you sometimes may miss a few here and there, but recognize the vast majority of them.
There are more possibilities than you could ever use or need. It is good to be thankful for such an abundance of opportunities to accomplish anything you can imagine.
When opportunities seem scarce, you realize you are failing to notice. Take comfort in the knowledge that this ability is totally under your control. Remind yourself to pay attention and keep your eyes open. As soon as you do this, you see everything you have been missing.
Opportunities are easy to spot when your attention remains focused on identifying them.
You can quickly look at your life and see all the opportunities that have passed. While some might be regretful, you might find it motivating to look at them. It reminds you of the many options presented.
Today, be open to new and existing opportunities. Stay in tune with your environment. Remember, with the many possibilities available to you, you must commit to making the most of it.
- What are the three most significant opportunities you have missed in your life? Why did you fail to notice them or act on them?
- What are the three most significant opportunities in your life right now?
- Where can you look for more opportunities?
I have missed several opportunities in my lifetime. I failed to recognize those chances until it was much too late to do anything about it. I am sharing that personal information because I do not want you to miss your opportunities. Please keep your eyes and ears open to possibilities when they come your way. Until next time, stay safe, and keep the faith.
It’s a straightforward fact. Your attitude determines the state of your world and existence.
You may be experiencing a string of bad luck, or you may have just won the lottery. Outside stimuli don’t matter. If you’re miserable or happy, it’s because you choose to be. You, and only you, can control your attitude. The fact that you can manage your mood is excellent news since your attitude rules the rest of your life.
You may have no control over your child’s current attitude, your boss’s mood, or the weather. You do, however, have complete control over how you choose to respond. The most apparent reason why a winning attitude is vital for your life is that your internal perspective informs your external expression of your mood and how others view you. It’s all in your hands. But, what are some other benefits of having a healthy winning attitude?
1. A positive attitude improves your faith in your abilities.
2. You achieve more and experience successes more often in life.
4. A winning attitude enhances the way you view people and your environment.
5. You inspire and motivate.
Your self-respect and resilience are grounded in your power, which is fueled by your attitude. When your default setting is a healthy, fair, and winning attitude, you develop a natural faith in your abilities. It improves your self-esteem and self-worth. As a result, you become more motivated, more driven, and naturally happier in the process.
One natural consequence of an improved faith in your abilities, which stems from a winning attitude, is that you achieve more in your life, and you experience success more often. It is not because you become more skilled. It is because your attitude starts from a positive baseline or default. It is not to say that you do not have limitations, nor is it an endorsement for participation trophies. Unfounded confidence when you lack actual skill, talent, or competency is just as dangerous as a bad attitude.
However, because you start with the understanding that you are using talents you have rather than doubting yourself when you have the skill, you’re more likely to achieve success more often. Also, since failure is often a part and a fact of life, it’s essential to see loss as a stepping stone to success. Developing the right attitude supports this understanding, and in turn, rather than throwing in the towel, you have the tools to get back up and dust yourself off.
One word is simple: Respect. People react to the type of attitude you have. Nothing diminishes respect more quickly or more thoroughly than a bad or negative attitude. Showing a right and winning attitude has the added benefit of showing off your talents and where you shine. It tends to earn respect.
Your baseline attitude directly affects the way you view the people around you. Since we all tend to wear our attitudes outward, we also respond and react to the attitudes each of us wears. If you have an antagonistic world view and a dim view of the people around you, they’re going to pick up on that. Chances are, how others respond to that chip on your shoulder is not going to be pleasant.
On the other hand, if you have a winning attitude, your view of the world and people around you will move mountains in the way. You, in turn, are viewed by the people you positively share the planet.
Since that winning attitude is likely to garner respect and allow people to see the best in you, your attitude becomes a source of inspiration and motivation to those around you.
I choose to look for the positive in people and the things around me. It makes for a better day and experience. Make your choice a winning action! Until tomorrow, stay safe, and keep the faith.
A friend of mine wrote an article, and I thought it would be of interest to you. She is a fabulous person to work with and has helped many individuals. Her writing is below. Please let me know if you like it by sharing it with others to read.
OMG, do you remember the song, For the Love of Money? I had to ask Google…‘who sings the song with money, money, money, money’… MONEY in it… It was the OJs, by the way!
Why do I ask this? Well. I was sitting here trying to figure out what message you could use today and moving into the weekend. What would serve you? What is at the top of the mind of my clients right now? It all has to do with the money in some way or another.
Hear me out.
You have heard the phrase: “Money is energy.” Right!
I also like the one: “Money Follows Speed!” Meaning more money will come to you when you make faster decisions and take more rapid action. (I use this a lot at my events to showcase examples. I am going to get into that below.)
But I was thinking that many people I meet are fearful about talking about money, about asking for money, about mentioning their pricing, about charging more.
Let’s face it, as an entrepreneur – you can not be this way. You have to find a way to get beyond your fears and potentially get outside your comfort zone so you can MAKE more money!!
This week alone, money has come up in many ways:
- I spoke with two money mindset coaches this week who serve women
- I spoke with four new clients about their money goals (and money fears)
- I spoke with eight clients or members of my International Entrepreneur Network (IEN) who need to make more money and get clients pretty darn quick, and we gave them tips on what to do to make FAST CASH (that is what I like to call it).
- I have had discussions with a financial planner and a real estate investor about how they want to help others build wealth
- I have heard from a couple of clients who had their BEST MONEY WEEK EVER!
So much of what I do and speak about is money.
You may not speak this much about money in your day-to-day lives. It occurred to me that this is why I am sooooo comfortable talking about my pricing, programs, asking for people to attend my events, and buy my stuff, is that I’m always in the conversation.
How can you get more in the conversation around money more consistently?
I swear on my life that this will be so helpful for you to do. Over time, I promise you will become so much more comfortable with the money conversation that you won’t feel sleazy or like a used car salesman.
You have to sell, though. You have to market. You have to make offers. You have to have sales conversations. You can not hide from this, or you are not going to be successful.
One of the things I am SUPER GREAT AT is talking through the sales conversation with someone, one-on-one or in a group, and giving you THE WORDS to use in YOUR conversations. You feel empowered, confident, and assertive enough to enroll more clients into YOUR AMAZING PROGRAMS!
I want to help you make more sales quickly and authentically to impact so many more with your gifts.
Let me give you an example from one of my live events:
One time I had a pet psychic attend my event, and she was an extreme introvert (maybe some of you can relate). I love getting my hands on introverts. It is so fun! What we do at my events is to CREATE & SELL what I call Easy Yes Offers. We do this in the room, and I help you do this so that everyone has something to sell (to the room). Then people stand up and give us their pitches, right on the spot, and then I say, “Okay, who wants that offer?” and people raise their hands. The one who made the offer goes around and either collects the CASH or a credit card, they make the transaction ON THE SPOT mind you, and the person is usually FLOORED with the fact that they just made $300 or sometimes even $1,000!!
Yes, the pet psychic gal was not participating, she was listening and watching, and I watched her. Then once a bunch of people had shared their offers and money was flying around, I asked her to stand up and share hers. She said a polite “no thanks, I don’t have one.” And I said, “oh yes, you do… I’ll bet over half the room has pets here, and you can work virtually as well as in-person, right?”. She said, “yes.”
I said, “Okay, stand up and let’s see, what could you offer…” we brainstormed it out right there on the spot, she was happy with it and spat out the offer (reluctantly), and boy if like 5 or 6 people didn’t raise their hands immediately to buy it!! I bought it too!! From the stage, I handed her my credit card!!
Did she get outside her comfort zone? YES
Was it worth it? I’d say so! It paid for her ticket and travel to the event!
What was the REAL lesson here?
- That you have to SHOW UP IN PERSON sometimes, you can not always sit behind your computer. (With regards to virtual events, showing up means you have to be there with your video on taking notes and NOT multi-tasking!) PLUS.. social media will NOT bring you money like that every day or that easily!!
- You don’t know what you don’t know. Well, until someone shoves you outside your comfort zone or teaches you. People need to “experience” you, and sometimes all it takes is a couple of minutes and an Easy YES Offer!!
- You have to ACT. If the pet girl had said an absolute no to me and not stood up, she wouldn’t have learned that she had an excellent offer for ANYONE, ANYWHERE, and at any event, she ever goes to. She can make money daily after this experience. She would not have made a dime, ha she not stood up. She may have regretted it later, too, kicking herself wondering why she couldn’t take the leap in faith and let herself experience this.
What are YOU doing when it comes to experiences like this?
Do you sit and wait it out?
Do you say, well maybe later, not now?
Do you think, oh, I can’t do that?
STOP IT! You are slowing down and even sabotaging your success. You deserve more, and you deserve it now, not someday.
I want to extend an invitation to you that is not just to another event that I host. It is to a CHANGE OF PERSPECTIVE for you about your business and how you are running it, marketing it, and more.
- Isn’t it time that you took faster action so you can see more immediate results?
- Isn’t it time that you stop waiting until you think everything is perfect, the stars align, and money magically appears into your bank account and instead make it happen?
I am here and willing to support you, guide you, and even push you outside your comfort zone (in a very safe, loving environment, by the way), so you can see more significant success in your business so much faster.
You will experience this at my next Jumpstart Your Biz VIRTUAL event…all of this and so much more!! We will create YOUR Easy Yes Offers, and you will get a chance to try them out. You will also learn how to do this VIRTUALLY!! Many entrepreneurs attend dozens of Zoom calls right now but not seeing ANY cash or new clients coming from it. STOP STRUGGLING with this… Attending this event will honestly be one of the best investments and experiences in your entrepreneurial journey thus far.
You have to trust me – but I’m also willing to put my money where my mouth is and offer a guarantee if you disagree!!! No one is doing that with other virtual events. I am because I know how perfect it is for you.
I hope and pray that you consider registering ASAP and just making it happen—no more excuses. You can bring a friend for only $97 once you register, too, do whatever you have to do, and let me get my hands on your business this November!
Here’s to creating and enjoying a life full of lots of LOVE & MONEY!!

Your attitude is defined in two ways: internally and externally. First, your attitude is witnessed by others from the way you carry yourself. Secondly, your attitude is your inner disposition, as set by your state of mind.
Your attitude is the one thing you have the most control over. In the context of personal power, you may have absolutely no control over how much noise your upstairs neighbor makes above your head when you’re trying to sleep or work. However, you have complete control over how you react to it. Having a poorly set attitude might dispose you to react badly or rashly one day when she spends just a little bit too much time walking back and forth across the floor on her bones, or when their kids are home from school one day and make so much noise that it sounds like they’ve made a game out of jumping off their top bunk. However, If you have the right attitude, your inner disposition might get you through the tympanic solo in one piece.
Since your attitude is the single most relied upon predictor of your overall personality, intelligence, and emotional maturity, it’s essential that the attitude you feel internally and show externally to others is that of a winning mindset. A winning attitude is the type of mentality you feel and display positively.
Does this mean you can never have a bad day?
No. We all have bad days. We all have moments of weakness where our temper might show through, and everyone has a breaking point. There is no doubt about that. However, people with a winning attitude tend to have the tools necessary to navigate bad days and tough times while keeping a healthy mindset intact and without damaging relationships along the way.
Keep in mind that there is a difference between a sincere winning attitude and someone who’s merely faking it. Facades are easy to see through given enough time and are not necessarily noticeable unless others are looking for the lie. There are many bits of advice and various blogs written by people who advise that if you do not currently have a winning attitude that you “fake it till you make it.” I do not believe this is a healthy approach to working toward self-reliance, having a winning attitude, developing resilience, or taking back and building on your power.
Don’t fake the personality or attitude you have. Instead, focus on developing new and healthier habits if this is what you are looking to project.
Hallmarks of a winning attitude
Individuals with a healthy winning attitude and a sense of their power will exhibit and practice certain tendencies. Specific attributes are hard to fake because their sincerity comes with time in practice.
If you wonder if you have a healthy and sincere winning attitude, then it’s time to do a personal inventory. People with positive attitudes will exhibit and experience positive, constructive, and creative thinking. You have the motivation and energy to do the things you need to achieve to reach your goals. Since your attitude is internal and external, you will carry a positive frame of mind as a default setting. You will naturally expect success rather than failure, but you won’t go looking for that success without the expectation of having to put in the work. When you experience success, you feel inspired and see failures as opportunities to learn rather than permanence. Individuals with winning attitudes tend to look for solutions to setbacks or stumbling blocks rather than dwelling on problems or the fact that the glass is half empty.
A winning attitude brings about
Having a winning attitude brings about a natural optimism from a baseline or a default setting. So, if you’re struggling with your internal and external perspective, don’t despair about the problem at hand. Instead, do what those with health winning attitudes do: focus on the solution rather than the problem. Check why you may have a naturally pessimistic view, and change your settings.
It’s harder than it sounds, but the work is worth it. A winning attitude brings about natural positive changes to your mindset, inner disposition, and how others may see you. Until tomorrow, please continue to stay safe and keep the faith.
Here are the last twelve things on the list of what to do when you are having a bad day. Yesterday’s list was pretty impressive.
- Meditate – Inhale the good air, exhale the bad air. – It’s kind of difficult to do when you are wearing a mask. Have you ever inhaled your breath?
- Write a list of all of the things you are grateful to have – I started a list. There is so much in my life, beginning with being here to write this blog.
- Dream a little – create a list of goals and break them down into monthly/weekly/daily steps—one of my goals in writing this blog is to share my knowledge with you.
- Listen to your favorite song and dance! Sing! Yell your favorite lyrics. I have many favorite songs, but you would not want to hear me sing. I know a frog is living in my throat.
- Read a good book. Now you are speaking my language. I love reading romance stories. I have a vast collection of romance stories.
- Spend time with your family. – COVID has increased the time I spend with family and listening to them share their feelings.
- Learn to do something new – try to align the new skill with the goals listed in step 3. I am doing my walking in place steps to music. I get winded, but I will go longer and add other exercise routines with it.
- TURN OFF YOUR PHONE or do not go on social media for the rest of the day. WOW! I could turn off the phone, but I do not know if I could stay off social media for a whole day. I will give it a try.
- Get off the computer and stop checking your email. – Oh! Boy! I know this would be a problem for me. My only contact with individuals is through my computer and email. Good luck to me!
- Watch an excellent motivational video on YouTube. – I watched Denzel Washington.
- Block/Unfollow accounts on social media that bring down your self-confidence. I do this. Life is too short for nonsense.
- Draw or paint – I crochet. I do not know how to crochet designs, but I make squares that become blankets. It is very relaxing and calms the mind. And now for the bonus,
- Laugh. Laugh at the trivial things. Laugh for no reason. – Laughter helps you feel better, and you enjoy life more. I do a great deal of laughing, and I keep a smile on my face.
That is the end of the list of 24 things you can do when you are having a bad day. Thank you, Joanna Rahier, for putting together this list. I hope this list is of some benefit to you. I had fun putting in my little commentary. I have not decided what I will write tomorrow. It will be something you can use in your everyday life. Until next time, stay safe, and keep the faith.
