Be Thankful

“Be thankful for what you are now, and keep fighting for what you want to be tomorrow.” -Unknown-

I wrote this post four years ago, and it is still relevant today.

We, as human beings, are never satisfied with ourselves. We find imperfections to complain about; we want more money, want to look better, and want a better car.

It is in our nature to see what others have and want it as well. I know because I was the same way. I have since learned it is okay to be me and happy with what I have.

Now, do not get me wrong, the green-eyed monster still tries to come back, and sometimes it succeeds. When it does, I think about all the things I am grateful for today and what I need to do to have what I want tomorrow.

I desire to be a great speaker and talk show host. I will not compete with others in this field; they have a head start on me, I will observe and learn from them. By doing this, I hope to become the best I can be at public speaking and host my talk show.

Since I originally wrote this article, I have come to enjoy the benefits of journaling. The result is I want to share that knowledge with others. I have started a journaling group because there is much to journaling. Far more than you may realize. Please fill out your contact information on the subscription page or email me at lawanna@lawannaspeaks.com to receive a registration link.

Always remember you decide what you want to fight for and go after. It must be more significant than any excuses you make. However, continue to be thankful for what you have now. Watch it grow in abundance in all areas of your life. I have faith in you fighting for what you want and the person you hope to become—best of luck. You can do it.

Until next time, stay safe, and keep the faith.
