Look in the mirror,
That’s your
Competition.”

How true that is for me! Each morning when I look in the mirror as I prepare for the day, a battle begins.
The battle is between the Angel and Satan. That is how I choose to identify them. Tne Angels say things like, “Oh, Girl! You got this! You can do anything you put your mind to do. You can make this your day as long as you are not thinking about hurting or using someone.
But then Satan speaks.”Are you kidding me? What do you think you can do? You have no official training. You are wasting your time. No one cares what you have to say. Why don’t you go back to bed, maybe watch a little television.”
By the time I have completed my morning ritual, I decide which one I will follow. Most often, it is the Angel, but once in a great while, I let Satan win. You guessed it! When he wins, I have a terrible day. I have yet to figure out why I occasionally let him win when I know the result.
When I listen to the Angel, things may not go exactly the way I want them to, but I have a sense of accomplishment at the end of the day. I feel good about myself.
So, my competition stares me in the face each day and dares me to choose which direction I will go. How about you? Is your competition staring back at you in the mirror? Choose your path wisely. You are the Captain of your destiny!
Until next time, please stay safe, and keep the faith.

Yes. Many times it’s a battle in my mind. But I speak the word over it and filter those negative thoughts through who I follow and believe Jesus. Remember for me the Holy Spirt gives me power. I say, I have the audacity to believe I can. And I can. When I feel defeated, I sit silently in the presence of God. Beautiful blog. Thank you for reminding us we can do it.
You’re welcome, Carolyn! I apologize for the lateness of my response. I am a one-man show, and it is only by the grace of God that I have not burned myself out. Thank you so much for your comment. I look forward to hearing from you again.
