My Sister, and What I Saw

Two days ago, I posted the picture above and asked what you saw. Caren saw a man lying down, and Paul saw an Angel.

When I saw the picture, I immediately saw the face of Jesus. His was not the only face I saw in the picture. While staring at the picture, I began to see other faces.

I find myself wondering if it was a sign. Today, I received word that my sister passed away. It was especially devastating because I had not seen her in more than five years. I think of what I could have said to her over the years, and now I will never have that opportunity. The last time I saw her, we were celebrating her birthday. I do remember we all told her and each other that we loved one another. It was the first time in several years we were all together.

She is the third sister I have lost. I encourage you to stay in touch with your family members. It is sometimes so easy to find a reason to put things off.

Do not allow time to pass with one excuse after another for not seeing each other. In today’s world, we can hop on zoom. No excuses. I am blessed to have five sisters and two brothers still living.

On a good note, we have agreed to do a better job of staying in touch. I also received a call from my friend I grew up with from elementary school. We usually reach out to each other every two or three years, and she happens to choose to call me today of all days. It was a bright spot in my day.

We both decided we allow too much time in between calls, so we are changing that.

If you have the time, take a look at the picture above and tell me what you see. Until next time, stay safe, and keep the faith.
