• Know who you are.

It is important to know yourself. It may seem like an obvious statement, but many people don’t know who they are. Dig deep to discover the subtle aspects of your life that you tend to ignore or keep hidden. There is no need to hide your true personality because that is who you are. You can not change that.

  • Stop trying to be someone else.

Everyone has people they look up to. However, looking up to someone and trying to be them is not the same. It is worthwhile the o emulate some of their desirable traits, but make sure you are not stepping outside of who you are deep down.

Until next time, stay safe, and keep.

Tip for the Day

You can’t live up to the person you are pretending to be.

If you are not being your authentic self, you will falter at some point. It is not a matter of if, but when. Did you ever notice that people who lie often tell a different story later? They will not remember what the story was in the past and have no choice but to make up new details. If you are pretending to be someone you are not, this is essentially the same as lying.

Until next time, stay safe, and keep the faith.

Start Each Day with Positive Intentions

If you struggle in the mornings, there is one thing you can add to your daily routine that will help, and that’s a positive intention. Helping to set the tone for your day, starting with positive choices, can deliver many great benefits.

Below, we’ll look at the benefits positive intentions provide. You will also learn precisely how to create and use positive intentions to your advantage.

What Positive Intentions Are

A positive intention is much like a map. It tells your mind where you want to go in life and what you want to achieve. When you are adding a positive intention into your day, you are telling your mind what you want to accomplish in the next 24 hours.

We all set intentions at the start of our day, whether we realize it or not. Even bad habits can stem from positive intentions. For example, your purpose may subconsciously be to feel good, so you indulge in your favorite junk foods. By taking control consciously of your positive intentions, it can deliver a lot of great benefits.

Benefits Positive Intentions Provide

Positive intentions provide a lot of incredible benefits. Some of the most significant advantages include:

  • They help you to get out of your head
  • They improve your focus
  • They can help you to develop a more positive mindset
  • You will be more likely to achieve your goals

Positive intentions give the mind a clear focus. They help you become more present in the moment and focus on what you need to do today to achieve your goals. Helping you to get out of your head and provide a clear path to where you want to be, you will notice you are much more productive, less stressed, and happier overall.

The thing is, the mind will set its intentions for the day if you don’t intervene. Unfortunately, the mind finds it easier to focus on the negative. With positive intentions, it can help you to train the mind to be more positive.

How to Start With Daily Positive Intentions

Now you know some of the benefits of starting each day with a positive intention, what types of choices can you set? Knowing where to start can be tricky, but it’s much easier than you might think. Some examples of positive intentions include:

  • “Today, I intend to accept love and joy into my life.”
  • “Today, I will remain silent for 15 minutes and listen to my inner guide.”
  • “Today, I will remain focused on my to-do list and not give in to distractions.”

These are just some basic examples you can follow. Think of what it is you want to achieve or feel by the end of the day. Then, set that as your intention and remember to keep it positive.

When you start each day with a positive intention, it can add real meaning to your life. You may just be surprised by how beneficial this simple act can make you more successful.

My life overflows with blessings.

My life erupts with blessings like lava out of a volcano. I have been given much more than I could ever need. When I look around me, I see that not only are my needs met, but I also have a surplus of things that I enjoy.

I wake up every day thankful for the health of my body. There are countless harms in the world, yet I enjoy life. It humbles me to think about the miracle of life; I was chosen to live this very moment, making it clear that my life has a purpose!

Relationships are my greatest blessing. I feel fortunate to have friends and family who care about me and seek me out. Whenever I am alone, I know that I can call someone to meet with me or listen to me on the phone. Having people to count on makes me feel blessed.

I appreciate my blessings because they are beautiful gifts. My prayers carry me through my struggles and lift my spirits.

My worst day is still a good day when I am determined to be glad regardless of my situation. I enjoy peace when I look beyond adverse problems to the positive outcomes that follow. For every negative situation, there is a more important lesson to be learned.

Today, I choose to look at my life through the eyes of gratitude and rejoice in my circumstance. I see the blessings all around me and look for ways to share them with others.

Self-Reflection Questions:

1. What am I thankful for?

2. Do I exhibit a grateful attitude?

3. How can I share my blessings with others?

Until next time, stay safe, and keep the faith.

How to Make Your Journaling More Effective

Any journal that you keep can be beneficial. It doesn’t matter if it’s just to document your life or to work through problems – you can use a journal to do it all. From tracking your projects to writing vacation to overcome anxiety, a journal will work for you if you pick the right type and make journaling a ritual.

* Find the Right Medium for You – For some people, that’s pen and paper. Many experts claim that’s the best way because of its simplicity. However, you have to do what works for you, and what works for you is what you will do daily. If you make it too hard, you won’t do it.

* Turn Journaling Daily into a Habit – Effective journaling has to go on for a long time. It’s a long-term strategy to improve your life and not something that will have any effect overnight. For this reason, ritualize your journaling so that it becomes a daily habit.

* Set Up a Comfy Journaling Spot – Find a good space you can journal in each day, one which is relaxing and without stress. Some people like to keep their journals by their bedside so that each night when they get into bed, they can quickly write in their journals.

* Choose the Right Style of Journal for Your Needs – The type of journal you want to keep depends on how you plan to use it. You may want to track a project, in which case you will need a project journal. If you are going to document your life, you’d like a classic journal.

* Use Your Journal to Work Through Life and Reach Goals – Don’t just write in the journal; actively seek to improve something in your life – whether it’s the thoughts that drive your feelings or improving your actions to experience more success.

* Consider Using More Than Writing to Document Your Life – You don’t need to use text. You can use images, pictures, tickets, and other memories inside your journal too. Sometimes a few photos and mementos mean more than anything you can write to help you remember.

* Read and Reflect Occasionally – Take at least a few minutes to re-read parts of your journal. Once you’ve kept it for a year, it’s fun to go back and read the same day from last year to find out what’s different now and what’s the same and why.

* Keep Your Journal Secure – You don’t want to worry about anyone getting into your private business when you’re not around, so keep it hidden. If it’s on your computer, save it password protected.

If you know why you want to journal, it’ll be easier to figure out which type of journal you need to keep to make your journaling more effective. Sometimes you want to document your life, while other times, you want to work through something difficult. It depends on your goals and the point of the journal.

5 Big Benefits to Embracing Imperfection

There is more pressure than ever to get things right in every part of your life to be perfect. Gadgets, apps, and advice on how to be your very best all the time surround us. But that is such an illusion. No one can be perfect; it just is not humanly possible.

It is excellent to set the bar high, to go after challenges, and stretch yourself. But you can not expect to win at everything all the time. Sit back for a minute and consider the benefits of embracing imperfection.

  1. You will be happier

Perfectionists carry a LOT of emotional baggage from trying to look as though their entire world is 110% wonderful all the time. They are at a higher risk of depression and anxiety and hardly ever content with what they have.

Embrace the messy, flawed parts of your life and yourself, and you will be happier and way less stressed.

  • You will not fear failure so much

Accepting imperfection means failure shrinks back down to being just another aspect of life. Perfectionists tend to take failure personally. It becomes a catastrophe and something that defines their sense of self. But accepting that to make mistakes is human means you see failure as an opportunity to learn, make the necessary changes, and move on.

  • Embracing imperfection makes you a more pleasant person

If you are comfortable with imperfection, you will not be so quick to criticize and judge others. And that will make you a much nicer friend, colleague, and family member. You will be less likely to blow your fuse at trivial things, you will cut people more slack, and relationships will be calmer and more rewarding.

  • Your self-esteem will grow

People who accept their flaws and quirks are less likely to be hard on themselves when they make a mistake. Perfectionists are usually their own harshest critics; their self-esteem is fragile and quickly crushed. Acknowledgment of your humanity means you are less likely to feel guilty or ashamed when you make a mistake or don’t reach your goals as soon as you might have liked.

  • You will inspire others

Imperfection is the keynote of being a human. It is how we learn and progress and connects us. That is okay, and gracefully accepting the ebbs and flows of life will make you someone people look up to and admire. Your kids will see that you value them more than that vase they broke. It is more important to spend time with them instead of asking if they’ve done their chores.

Until next, stay safe, and keep the faith.

Benefits of Building Self Confidence

There are many benefits to building your self-confidence. When you’re a more self-confident person, you’ll feel more valuable, useful, happy, and overall experience more life satisfaction.

  • Increased Feelings of Self-Worth – When you take the time to build your self-confidence, you’ll increase your feelings of self-worth. The more you value yourself and your skills, the easier it is to walk strong and feel the confidence surging through your body.
  • Experience More Happiness and Joy from Everyday Life – For people who lack confident feelings to feel joy and happiness. Those feelings might elicit bad feelings of guilt. But once you build your confidence up, you’ll start to notice that you’re just generally happy.
  • Lower Incidences of Fear and Anxiety – People who aren’t confident will often be frozen in fear and anxiety when doing something out of their comfort zone. But people who practice overcoming their fear and working through their anxiety find that they experience those feelings less and less.
  • Enables You to Enjoy People More – Many people with low self-image or no confidence tend to get nervous about being social. If you want to lower your social anxiety, find ways to build your confidence. One way to build confidence is to do things that make you feel good about yourself and successful and then do social things that involve your interests.
