Today is my middle son’s birthday! He turned forty-nine this morning at 8:15 am.
I remember watching a movie called “Gargantuan.” I started feeling the pains the night before, but I didn’t want to go to the hospital and lie around until it was time to deliver.
I know you’re wondering how I could understand it was not time to deliver! I don’t have the answer to that. It was the same with each of my children. I knew the instant I became pregnant and the time to go to the hospital for delivery.
Within fifteen minutes of arriving at the hospital, I gave birth to a beautiful eight-pound three-ounce baby boy.
When he was three, we all knew he would one day wear a uniform. We were not wrong. He was a boy scout until he learned the Air Force had a program called Civil Air Patrol, then it was ROTC from seventh to the 12 grade. He joined the Marines and became an officer because of ROTC. He is still active with the reserves and law enforcement. I am very proud of his accomplishments.
He has two sons and a daughter, and they are crazy about their dad. I love how he gives them quality time and does things with them.
Time passes so fast! It seemed only yesterday I brought my son home from the hospital, and now he is almost a senior citizen himself. Well, that is all I will share about my son for now. I will share similar information on my other sons’ birthdays and the grandson I raised from a baby to an adult.
So until next time, please stay safe, and keep the faith.
