Cinco de Mayo is a holiday commemorating Mexico’s victory over the French at the Battle of Puebla in 1862. While it is not a major holiday in Mexico, it has become an important cultural celebration in the United States. It is a day to celebrate Mexican culture and heritage and recognize Mexican Americans’ contributions to American society. Whether celebrated with parades, parties, or traditional food and drink, Cinco de Mayo is a time for communities to come together and celebrate.

Happy Cinco de Mayo!

Until later, stay safe, and keep the faith.
